My Client wanted a unique way to propose to his girlfriend. To present the ring, I created a custom-made engagement ring box that required specific detailing and engraving with words of meaning from their relationship and four operational locks with matching keys.
The geometry of my design seemed overwhelming at first. I wanted to incorporate Dovetails into the box. I wanted it to be the featured piece, so it needed to be more than just dovetailing the corners together.

The customer had other pine furniture with an arch on top. To match the existing furniture, I traced the arch from one of his other pieces and used it to custom-cut the arch at the top to match their furniture style.
