I am excited to work with sponsors that are a good fit.
I’m picky about who I take on as a sponsor, which builds credibility with my audience and adds credibility to the sponsors I represent.
While I enjoy making YouTube videos, I am not a YouTuber in the traditional sense. I run a full-service design studio, designing custom furniture pieces and architectural elements, focusing on each piece becoming a work of art. I then share projects that I think people will find interesting on YouTube.
As a result of focusing on the art side of my business first and foremost, I do not have to take on sponsors to maintain my business, affording me the luxury of being picky. This is a huge benefit to sponsors I take on, as it demonstrates to my audience that I only take on sponsors I believe in. Conversely, many full-time YouTubers have to continually seek sponsors to keep going, so they are more willing to jump from company to company costing them their credibility. Last week they were showing a glow-in-the-dark solar panel; this week, armpit hair growth gel; and next week, a pogo stick for senior citizens guaranteed to break a hip. You get where I am going.
Before Requesting a Media Kit, Please Understand.
I have been working in the trades for over 33 years and have collected more tools than I know what to do with, so I am NOT looking for free tools/products in exchange for exposure on my channel. I am looking for a mutually beneficial relationship. If I am investing my time to promote a sponsor’s products and services, I need the sponsor to invest in me in a monetary fashion.
Below are the types of sponsorships I am most interested in.
Long Term Sponsors
A commitment of a year by providing a monthly stipend along with your product/service. This will allow me to feature your products and services in many of the builds I do throughout the year.
- Each video during the year would start with “Today’s video is sponsored by (Your Company Name)”
- Links to your company and products from the video description, and my blog
- Ad banner in the right-hand column of my blog.
- This would build long-term brand awareness for you
- The number of videos for the year would be negotiable based on budget and the type of videos planned
Commission Me To Design And Build a Project for You.
For this option you would be hiring me just as any client would, I would design and build a custom piece for you and ship it to you. The design would feature/use your products and services.
- This is a collaborative process and we would design/build a custom piece using your products or services
- The YouTube video would feature your products or services, as I design/build the piece
- You can keep the piece, and take it to trade shows to show off what can be done with your product, or show it off in the corporate office lobby, or whatever you want to do with it after the fact, it is yours to keep.
- You can share the YouTube video as you see fit using YouTube’s share feature.
- I will also photograph the project and you can use the photos in your marketing materials
Commission Me To Design And Build a Project for myself.
If you have a smaller budget or simply don’t want the project shipped to you, you can commission me to design/build a project that I would keep and resell or use in some other manner.
- I would use your products and services to design and build a custom piece that would remain the property of Benham Design Concepts, LLC
- The YouTube video would feature your products or services, as I design/build the piece.
- You can share the YouTube video as you see fit using YouTube’s share feature.
- I will also photograph the project and you can use the photos in your marketing material
In summary
Building art is my passion so I am not interested in a relationship where I am expected to unbox a product or read the features and benefits list of a tool. There is no better way to show off how a product performs than to use it in a real-life situation, and that is what you will get working with me.
I have 33 years of experience in the trades so I will be able to use my expertise to show off your product by using it and putting it through its paces. My audience will know that your product performs as advertised by seeing it being used by a professional, not just held up to a camera by a YouTuber.
